Plate reading runs on the camera itself. The server is never used for image processing; when the camera is unsure, a Raspberry with a Hailo accelerator reads as a last resort.

Features
What the system actually does
No promises beyond the hardware on site: a gate, two cameras facing opposite directions, a Raspberry and a console.
Gate control
An authorised plate sends a relay pulse. Closing is left to the barrier's own timer and photocell — software never closes a gate over a vehicle.
Guests and apartments
Plates belong to apartments; guests are time-boxed. Occupancy shows who is inside, in which slot and since when.
Auditable log
Every read, every pulse and every human action is written with time, source and result. Nothing is shown as a raw internal code.

The plate is checked against apartment records and approved guest plates.

Registered cars enter automatically; motorcycle and bicycle rules are explained below.

Time, apartment, direction and photo are written to the event log.
Motorcycle and bicycle access policy
In Türkiye, motorcycles carry a rear plate only; a front view without a plate is expected. The policy for this installation is: security staff open the gate for motorcycle entry, even if its plate is registered. Motorcycle exit opens automatically without waiting for plate recognition. Bicycles must never trigger automatic opening in either direction.
Rear-plate recognition supports passage records; it does not authorize motorcycle entry. A plate outside the image cannot be guessed. Automatic enforcement of the motorcycle/bicycle distinction is still being developed and requires field validation.

Built for the gate, not for a demo
Otopark Otomasyon is the parking layer of AIOR Technology in Bursa. It runs on a live site every day; every feature here exists because a gate needed it.
